Luna originally came into BARK when she broke her leg and we took responsibility for her treatment. After a lengthy rehabilitation she was rehomed at the end of August. She has just had her first birthday and is a small lurcher cross, possibly whippet type.

It wasn’t any thing Luna’s owners did or didn’t do, she just wasn’t the right fit and heartbreaking though it was, the right thing was to bring her back.

Luna needs to be introduced to a pal, to help her settled on her own and bring a confidence that a relaxed, easy going dog can bring. She loves her walks, is good with other dogs, loves to play and enjoys a cuddle. She can be ‘off putting’ when people come into the house and her barking and general demeanour towards children can be off putting particularly to children.

She settled well at night, her housetraining was good (something her owners had worked hard on) and could be let off lead. During the day she was very demanding. Crate training has a role to play in Luna moving forward. Luna has been used to lots of walks and company and it is unlikely in the initial period Luna will be able to left unless she is in a crate.
