Fudge – is off to his new home
Fudge is around 4 and a half years old. He is currently being treated for ear and skin mites.
Fudge appeared to be in discomfort when he arrived particularly when touching his back. He is currently on pain killing meds and the difference ha been immense.
Once Fudge has recovered we will be looking for a new home to meet his needs, ideal with another male guinea for company. Although guineas, as a pair, do not need as much room as a pair of rabbits, following similar guidelines as to space requirements is a good start. Details can be found on the RAWF website. As always for accommodation the bigger the better but guineas like lots and lots of places to hide and feel secure. A minimum hutch size should be 1.5m long by 1m wide for two guineas and this must be attached to an additional exercise area for during the day. Please remember with hutches with two levels, lots of the floor area is missing due to stairs/ramps to get up and down.
