Max
Max is a lovely lad who has had a bit of a rough time. He came in in January when his owner was struggling to look after his general health. While in with us his skin improved to perfection and all his tummy issues were sorted. He went back to his owner who felt he could manage going forward. They have recently contact us again to say Max’s condition is beginning to deteriorate again and they feel he would be better if he were signed over to us to look for a new home that could better manage.
Max is a youngster who is just 2 and since coming in has treatment for his B12 deficiency which is now managed by just tablets. We also looked into his legs and while there is nothing needing an operation we have been working hard to build his muscles up and this has paid dividends. As he is feeling so much better now he has become a lively character, full of energy expected of a 2 year old. He can be strong on lead but is actually a great walk once he settles. He appears to be fine around other, larger, dogs although so very noisy.
Max needs a home where he will have company and an owner who is experienced in providing the right environment and conditions for Max to continue to thrive. Max’s home will be one that can spend time training him to use his brain. He has recently had x-rays on his legs and while they are not ‘right’ the vet does not thing there is anything to be done at the moment other than build the muscle up on his leg. This is already reaping rewards.
Max may need to be near our vets, Galedin, for a while but we may consider an extended rehoming area for the right home. Max is likely to benefit from being on vitamin B12 tablets for life.
