Potato (Sunday name – Winston)

Potato is around 6 years old and said to be a pug cross pomeranian.

We have found him to be a happy lad who embraces life full on. He can initially be a bit vocal on seeing/meeting dogs but settles with the right direction. Any new owner will need to accept this will take time and training classes would be an advantage. It is unlikely we would initially place him a home with with more than one dog (or any cats).
Potato has come on in his behaviour towards other dogs and with slow, careful introductions over likely a few weeks he could possibly settle with another easy going dog. Ongoing training would then be necessary to make him more relaxed around other dogs he meets. He loves his walks, playing and cuddling. He’s an active little boy and while small in size he enjoys his walks.

Potato was carrying too much weight when he came in but he has stuck to his diet and is looking fantastic.

Potato would be best in a home with (or without) children over 12, he would like not to be left for more than 2 hours and would prefer to have company and lots of walks and time for play.
