Kassuku is an African Grey and was born around 2002. He is a great character, very chatty but also very noisy.

He loves his showers, and although he has always lived with a woman we have found he prefers the company of men. Overtime it appears that Kassuku would prefer a bit of one to one with a male human so we are looking for a quieter home where there will be lots of interaction He loves a bit of passion fruit, a cup of camomile tea and generally exploring and causing mayhem.

He needs to spend the majority of his time out of his cage and will enjoy lots of company as he has been prone to feather plucking in times of stress. He has settled great in the office and is out all day. African Greys can be very destructive and Kassuku can spot a bit of wood or cardboard from a hundred paces. African Grey can live up to 60 years in captivity so please consider this before applying. Kassuku can come with his current cage if necessary. Kassuku will take time to settle and in that time he may well try his boundaries while any new owner gets to know his ‘back off’ signals. What we don’t want for Kassuku is a home that after getting bitten, or he has been destructive, that rather than return him they will keep him in his cage. This would be totally unacceptable. He is not a bird for someone who is out during the day as he goes to bed at 8 and needs the full 12 hours kip.  African Grey can live up to 60 years in captivity so please consider this before applying.  Kassuku can come with his current cage if necessary.
African Greys are better in a more experienced home due to this, for the correct home we will expand our rehoming area, subject to a few visits before hand and a guarantee to bring him back to us if there are any issues.

African Greys are better in a more experienced home due to this, for the correct home we may consider extending our rehoming area. A minimum of two visits will be required.
