So our cheeky girl is beginning to take over

So since Tiggy came in she has probably had in excess of a hundred offers of a new home. Many suggested she stay with her foster home. But that was never going to be possible. In the end the easiest and hopefully the most successful option was to go for someone we knew or someone we trusted knew. So today was the day when she met her potential new owners. We think it went well and we hope it will proceed to a full adoption for her. Although we know there will be many people disappointed not to be considered to be a home for Tiggy there are many, many, many dogs out there who need homes and will be equally as rewarding as Tiggy…. and wont attract the paparazzi. A search on google will reveal so many dogs looking for homes. If Tiggy’s story achieves a home for even just one more dog then how great would that be #TiggysPaw.

The next step is for her to meet the other dogs in the house, which we suspect will go well, then once the all clear is given we hope she’ll be away to her new home, certainly by the end of January.

Working out Tennis balls are fun

Although her overall condition has improved today’s extra excitement has exhausted her.

Tired now

When Tiggy first came she couldn’t work out how to hold a treat. Nailed it!

This week we are going to start cutting back on our beautiful girls updates. Or least we’re going to try. You’d think after over a month and looking the way she does there wasn’t much more to say but today we’ve had a few more milestones.

First she ran so fast round and round and round the garden it is now a mud pit, then having been refused sole use of ‘her’ chair decided if you can’t beat them you had to join them.

Her tail has been a real display of how well she’s doing, from the first tip wag, to a full wag, to a bottom wag to a full lurcher wipe lash tail today.

And then there’s the hair!

Tiggy is a star but then we all knew that. Let’s hope her story will inspire people to adopt from a rescue and ask for help when needed #TiggysPaw

We’d like to say it’s clearly been an exhausting day, but then this is a typical night for Tiggy

Wednesday 9th January 2020

Tiggy’s story has had more publicity today both in The Sun newspaper and the Mail On line (story here) All this publicity is great but please can we ask people to keep sharing so we can find how Tiggy came in in the condition she did and get some justice for her. Any information can be reported to the Northumberland County Council Welfare Officers via this link

Meanwhile Tiggy isn’t letting any of this go to her head, she is still an absolute Diva. She got some lovely pj’s yesterday and refused to even look at the camera until she was asked what she thought of them and then…. straight to model pose!

Sunday 12th January 2020

Well it’s been a busy week for Tiggy, she has certainly been much sort after. She has had visits from the This Morning and the BBC (their interview can be seen by following this link), several Newspapers and online journals. Numerous phone call interviews and photo shoots, visits to care homes and schools and she’s taken it all in her stride. Today her weigh in revealed a major mile stone.

Today she met with her new canine pack, two beautiful dogs who she instantly loved and ran round in ever increasing circles. Exhausted by her playtime she took up what she now believes is her chair in the sun and slept the afternoon away.

Tiggy’s time with BARK is almost over, a couple of loose ends to tie up next week and if all is good she’ll be off to her new home very soon.
